While I don’t make a concerted effort to make a New Year’s resolution, I also don’t try not to make one either. If one comes to me, fantastic. One did last year, and I more or less stuck to it, or was at least mindful of it when I remembered it, which seemed pretty often. If one doesn’t come to me, like this year….no big deal.
This year, for 2021, nothing has struck me yet, and I’m not trying to force one to surface, either. So for now: no resolutions for 2021.
We do have a running “once COVID is over” family bucket list. Most of it is places to go, submitted by one or another of us. Here are some, in no particular order:
- Greece, to see the real Parthenon, despite me arguing for money’s sake and everything else that the Nashville Parthenon would suffice
- the forest
- Maui
- the pizza place (in person)
- bowling
Some, as you can see, more bucket-list goals, while others are much more doable. We’ll see.
I don’t have any thoughts on what 2021 will hold, other than hope. Hope we’ll be out of this mess soon. Hope kids will be back in person this spring. Hope that the adults in my house will be vaccinated. Hope we’ll be able to have places to go, to look forward to again!
